One of the goals of the Educational Horizons Foundation is to support the Two Rivers school system through enhancement programs that would otherwise be unaffordable to the schools.

Through a contribution from the estate of Ellen Charter, a former elementary teacher in the Two Rivers School District , the foundation sponsors "Promoting the Arts.” This program brings in artists who specialize in enhancing elementary student awareness in the fine arts through interactive performance.

Presentations such as these would not be possible without the generous contributions from donors to the Educational Horizons Foundation!

February 2004
Educational Horizons Foundation sponsored the theatrical performance of The Pirates of Penzance put on by the “Opera for the Young” from Madison , Wisconsin . These interactive performances for the elementary children were held at the new Two Rivers High School Cafetorium.

January 2002
Educational Horizons Foundation brought in nationally-known folk Singer Tom Pease to all three elementary schools for two days in January. Mr. Pease writes songs for children and has the unique ability to capture the hearts of students through his music. Tom interacts with his audience, making them an integral part of the program. Dick Halsey, Principal of Magee Elementary School, who helped arrange Mr. Pease's appearance, said, “This has been a great educational opportunity for all elementary students in the Two Rivers School District to be able to interact with a nationally-known artist.”
