Directions to Magee
Take I-43 exit east on 310.  Turn left onto Madison Street .  Cross the bridge and turn left ( Monroe Street ).  Turn right on 35th Street .  You will see Magee ahead.  To enter the school turn left on Bellevue Street, right on 36th Street, and right on Glenwood Street.

Friday Folders
Each Friday a folder will be sent home with a weekly calendar, parent newsletters, and other flyers of interest.  Folders must be returned signed on Monday. 

Health Information

  • All students must have on file a current home, work, and emergency phone number.  This is to ensure that parents can be contacted if a child is either injured or sick during school hours.  These numbers need to be updated whenever there are changes.
  • State law requires that children must be immunized.  Questions should be directed to the school district nurse.
  • If children need to have medication administered in the school setting, a medication authorization form must be completed.  School staff, without first securing appropriate authorization, cannot administer medication, including over-the-counter medications, such as Tylenol.  Forms are available in the school office or from your family physician.  The authorization form requires teh signature of the parent and the child's physician.

Students can purchase a hot lunch or breakfast.  Breakfast is available from 7:40-8:00a.m.  The cost is $1.30 ($0.30 for reduced) per meal.  Lunch is $1.80 ($0.40 for reduced) per meal.  Please contact the office for more information.

Milk Break
Morning milk is provided to students at a cost of $13 per quarter.

Parent or Community Volunteers
Help in the classroom, library, or after school programs is appreciated.  Please contact the office if you are interested.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Scheduled conferences are held in November and February to allow the parent and teacher the opportunity to discuss student progress.  Parents are encouraged to contact teachers at any time during the school year to inquire about their child’s progress.

 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)
The PTO meets five times a year on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Please check our calendar for the dates of the meeting.

Student Absences
Please contact the office as soon as you are aware that your child will not be attending school.  If the office is not notified, you will be contacted to verify the reason for the absence.

Summer School
Summer school offers remedial and enrichment programs during June and July at the high school for students in grades 1 through 12, and at Magee for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten.  Registration material is sent out in April.

Students who live two or more miles from school, outside the city limits, or east of the East Twin River are eligible for free bus transportation if Magee is their designated school.  Bus passes for those not eligible for free bus transportation may purchase a bus pass by calling Two Rivers Buses at 793-2541.

Unexpected Early Dismissal or Cancellation
Winter weather always brings the possibility of school closings.  If you suspect that school may be cancelled or will close early because of the weather, please listen to one of the radio or TV stations listed below:

Visiting Our School
Parents and the general public are welcome to visit our school during normal hours.  All visitors MUST enter the building through the Glenwood Street doors and then check-in at the main office.
